New Chicago Ales is a startup brewery just setting up in The Plant Chicago, a "vertical farm" building in Chicago's old Stockyards area. They expect to be part of The Plant's "closed" system, brewing with heat from their own methane production.

The annual 5K (3.1 miles) Hunger Walk directly benefits the Greater Chicago Food Depository's network of 650 pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in Cook County. The 26th Annual Hunger Walk will be held June 25, 2011, at Soldier Field. Registration the day of the walk is FREE, but we do encourage fundraising to benefit our member agencies.

Greenfeast is a grass roots relief aid organization focused on fighting hunger and offering relief and aid to the indigent and those in need. In our efforts we also strive to educate individuals on how to cook, eat and live a healthier lifestyle even when living on a reduced budget or when living through unfortunate circumstances.
